Feminists freaked out by the prospect of Amy Coney Barrett on the Supreme Court venomously attacked Barrett on Monday, the first day of the confirmation hearings on her nomination to the court, using the fact that she has borne numerous children to wage war on her, with one going so far as to mock Barrett as a “handmaid” with a “clown car vagina.”
Feminist author Lauren Hough tweeted, “It’s a very weird thing to watch these old creeps congratulate a handmaid on her clown car vagina.”

Hough added, “You can tell a lot about how a judge will rule by her fertility so I’m glad she’s already proven hers because the cervix check really shouldn’t be done live. But I’m excited for her to share her casserole recipe and some stain-removal tips.”
Another Washington Post contributor, Helaine Olen, echoed, “By the way, I’m really tired of hearing about Amy Coney Barrett’s family. I’m sure she’s a great mom! I’m sure she’s better than me! (I can barely manage 2 kids, never mind 7). But she’s not getting voted into a parenting position. Let’s move on.”

As The Daily Wire reported over the weekend, The Washington Post targeted Barrett’s children last week:
The Washington Post targeted the children of Supreme Court Justice nominee Judge Amy Coney Barrett on Friday, running a headline that suggests the children spread COVID-19 within their school, though the children have no ties to the three positive tests and have tested negative themselves.
“Two students and a teacher at school attended by Barrett children test positive for coronavirus,” the headline of the piece reads. Co-author Beth Reinhard took it a step further, posting it to Twitter with a caption referring directly to the so-called White House “superspreader” event the Barrett children attended — an event that announced their mother as a SCOTUS nominee.
“Two students and teacher at school attended by SCOTUS nom Amy Coney Barrett’s kids test positive for coronavirus, two weeks after ‘superspreader’ White House event for ACB (Amy Coney Barrett),” Reinhard captioned the Post piece. “Parents are freaked out though no proven link.”
Later in the article, the Post deigned to note that there was “no evidence linking the school infections to the White House event” and also noted that the children had tested negative for the virus, had no symptoms, and stayed home from school following the president’s positive COVID-19 test.
Barrett has seven children, two of whom were adopted from Haiti.
The South Bend Tribune reported:
The South Bend Tribune reported:
In a 2019 discussion before the Notre Dame Club of Washington, D.C., Barrett said she and Jesse decided to adopt from Haiti because it was an impoverished country and because it was close enough to be able to visit as the kids became older. She and her husband debated over the years whether one should stay home with the children — she described plenty of “soul-searching and anxiety about balancing kids and work — but Jesse’s aunt has helped watch the kids for years, and Jesse took on more home duties after she became a judge. “What greater thing can you do than raise children?” she said. “That’s where you have your greatest impact on the world.[”]
