Kamala Is Finally Securing The Border, But Not Ours

On Thursday, Vice President Kamala Harris sailed to Europe in an effort to strengthen her crisis credentials in preparation for running for president.

Although we don’t know what Russian President Vladimir Putin thought about the American vice-president going to a crucial European security conference in Munich rather than Biden, we do know that he had more important things to attend to. The president was in Ohio to promote his $1 trillion infrastructure bill and boasted about how much money it would bring to the Great Lakes.

Biden, on Harris’s flight east to Germany, traveled west to Lorain in Ohio to discuss Great Lakes pollution. He had just completed his three-month-old bipartisan infrastructure bill. His aides insist that the trip would not distract him from the possibility of the worst conflict in Europe since World War II.

Harris’s efforts to secure Ukraine’s border against Russia are ironic. A nation brimming with soldiers and arms, Harris doesn’t know how to protect the U.S. from desperate civilians.

Rep. Lauren Boebert, R-Colo. tweeted this clip of Michael Scott, the fictional boss from “The Office”, shouting “No, God! Please no!” No! No! “No!” is a suggestion of Ukraine’s possible reaction to Harris repulsing the US in Munich.

Harris will meet the leaders of Estonia and Latvia before giving a speech on Saturday. She will also meet Volodymyr Zelensky, Ukrainian President, and Olaf Scholz, German Chancellor.

The West Wing is full of fingernail biting. Let’s hope Harris doesn’t repeat the disaster in France and adds to Biden’s political woes. Because Putin was ready to invade Ukraine and Biden was too busy with politics to care, someone had to carry the flag to the Munich security conference.
