A man in Washington, D.C., was recorded shouting obscenities at a group of students on a tour of the city over Independence Day weekend.
A video of a man screaming, “F— your cracker ass” and “F— you, dog” at a group of students from Nevada and their chaperones has gained traction after it was posted to Twitter on Sunday.
“PSA: If your America loving teen wants to go on a youth trip to DC TODAY to visit the @WhiteHouse-this will happen to them. The EMOTIONAL mother of this boy sent me this video just this am! Cussed at & accosted for their Trump hats which then were taken and thrown over a wall…” Twitter user Charlie Nicole said in a post accompanied by the video.

In the footage, the man can be seen approaching the group of students, who ranged from about 16-18 years old, as they walked near the White House on the Fourth of July.
You have to be racist. Or you’re delusional. Or you’re stupid. Which one is it?” the man said while the students did not react to his words as they walked by.
Kira Prince, the mother of one of the teenagers who attended the nondenominational youth tour group, told the Washington Examiner on Monday that another man saw some in the group holding hats celebrating President Trump, prompting him to take them and throw them over a nearby wall.
Prince, who did not attend the trip to the nation’s capital, said her son and the group had just visited the Martin Luther King Jr. monument and had reflected on his quote, “Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.
For him to do that to a bunch of kids who are mostly minors, is just, it’s not something I’m sure he would want to be proud of. But it feels like we’re driven to this place where no one understands each other. And you don’t know how I live. I don’t know how you live. Instead of trying to make it better,” Prince said. “It’s just creating more of a divide and more of getting away from what America was founded on.”
She added that she’s a religious person and wants to tell the man in the video, “I love all mankind” and to “get to a place where we can understand each other.”
The video comes as protests have cropped up across the country in the wake of George Floyd’s death while he was in police custody. Though many of the demonstrations denouncing systemic racism and police brutality have been peaceful, some have turned violent, with police officers assaulted, statues destroyed, and public property vandalized.
