Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul called out Democratic vice presidential nominee Kamala Harris for denying Joe Biden’s support for banning fracking during the vice presidential debate.
“In case you’re watching Senator Harris lie about fracking right now, both she and VP Biden are on record, on video and will absolutely ban fracking,” Paul said. “They seek to end coal and all fossil fuels.”

Pence hit Harris hard on what he said was her ticket’s support for banning fracking.
“They want to abolish fossil fuels and ban fracking, which would cost hundreds of thousands of American jobs all across the heartland,” Pence said. “And Joe Biden wants to go back to the economic surrender to China that, when we took office, half of our international trade deficit was with China alone.”
Joe Biden will not ban fracking. He has been very clear about that,” Harris responded.
“I know Joe Biden says otherwise now, as you do, but the both of you repeatedly committed to abolishing fossil fuels and banning fracking,” Pence said.
Biden has said that his stance on fracking has been misrepresented, noting that he only wants to ban fracking on public lands despite saying he’d “make sure it’s eliminated” in a CNN debate in July 2019.
