Late into the night on Tuesday, two people were reportedly dead and one person was injured after being shot during a third night of rioting in the small city of Kenosha, Wisconsin, according to Kenosha News.
It was around 11:45 pm last night, according to Kenosha police Lt. Joseph Nosalik, that the shooting was reported. The individual who was injured is in serious condition at a nearby hospital, but the injuries sustained are not life-threatening, according to police.
The Blaze’s Elijah Shaffer reported live from the scene, saying that someone appeared to have been shot in the head during an attempted looting of a car shop.
He reported that the white man was loosing an excessive amount of blood and had been transported to an emergency room.
BREAKING they shot someone in the head at the #KENOSHA riot RIGHT NOW
I repeat someone has been shot in what appears to be the head while looting a car shop
I can not confirm the exact wound location but he’s white and losing a lot of blood

Shaffer captured what was happening shortly before the shooting, when people were destroying the car dealership where the shooting allegedly took place.

The graphic video of the shooting and its aftermath is not for the faint-of-heart.

Witness accounts from the scene claimed that it was “the boogaloo boy militia protecting a business that was being destroyed.” However, once Shaffer spoke to one of the men, these reports of the shooter being racially motivated were quickly called into question.

Shaffer spoke with the alleged shooter, who identified himself as an EMT, said that he had been pepper sprayed, and was ready to protect the citizens of Kenosha and protect property.
CONTEXT: I spoke with the alleged shooter earlier in the night who stated he was there to protect property
He did not make racist comments, condemn #BLM, or mention political motivations for his actions

In previous nights, local residents took up arms to protect businesses and property. Some shouted that they were on board with the protests, but not with the destruction of their city.
Shaffer followed up his initial reports with a further account of the violence. He confirmed that there were multiple shooting victims at the attempted looting of the car shop, and that one person “had his arm mangled by the impact of the munitions.”
BREAKING: confirmed there were multiple victims in the shooting at the car shop including one who had his arm mangled by the impact of the munitions
I viewed images from photo journalist Alex Lourie that confirmed more victims
Drive by shootings also occurred

Another incident, caught on video by Brendan Gutenschwager, shows a crowd chasing an armed individual who is carrying a rifle down a street before he falls to the ground. As the crowd rushes to the man on the ground, he can be seen pulling a gun and firing it at his would-be assailants.

Protestors had gathered outside of a courthouse downtown, where barricades had been erected to protect the property. Reporting on the ground for Townhall, Julio Rosas caught protestors shouting “kill the police” and a woman screaming “death to America” while burning the nation’s flag.

After the kind of destruction that the first two nights of rioting unleashed on Kenosha, some business owners were not taking any chances and stood by to protect their enterprises.

The Post Millennial’s editor-at-large Andy Ngo tweeted out his gratitude to those journalists who are out covering these stories despite risk of personal harm. He has been covering the violence in his home town of Portland, Ore.

The unrest was sparked by the police shooting of Jacob Blake on Sunday evening. Blake survived the shooting, but is in critical condition at an area hospital. Doctors have said that it would “take a miracle” for him to recover from the paralysis sustained by the shooting.
Officers in that shooting have not been identified, but were reportedly placed on administrative leave.
